URL is the Abbreviation of Uniform Resource Locator and is the gobal address given to documents, media files, pictures, web-sites and any other resource that is stored on the World Wide Web. The main reason for using them in your MSN Space is so you can add images, video files and music files to your blogs, MSN media player and your Custom HTML/Sandbox Module. Without adding a URL code to your space's MSN media player for example it will not know where the file is stored that you want to have playing on your MSN media player. So basicly the URL is the address where your file is located. The URL code can be seen in your address bar for any web-site you visit.

Below is an example of the URL code to my MSN Space:

http://spaces.msn.com/members/oskarsroom/
