Image Shack Free Web-Hosting

This tutorial will teach you how to use www.imageshack.com which is my recommendation for the best avalible Free Web-Hosting site for images. You must make sure that the image is below 1.024MB and if you need to re-link/re-use the image later on in another blog it is a good idea to save the URL or what image shack call the "Direct link to image". After you have closed the image when originally uploaded you will not be able to access it through the Image Shack web-site unless you have saved the image's URL or unless you re-host the image. However Image Shack has no bandwidth limits so you will not have the proplem of publishing an image in one of your blog entries only to see it disappear not long after (usually caused from other readers who directly copy your hosted image and paste them directly into one of their own blog entries)

First locate your image on your computer that you would like to add to one of your blog entries (it might be a good idea to move or copy the image to your desktop so it is easier to locate later in Step3)
Open the Image Shack Free Web-Hosting site
Click "Browse", which will open a browsing window, navagate your way to your image
When you have found your image click once on it (so it is highlighted), then Click "Open" (this is just showing Image Shack the location of the image to be uploaded)
After Clicking "Open" the browsing window disappears and you will notice the location of your file will be present next to the "Browse" button you clicked earlier
Click "Host it!" (which will change to uploading after you have clicked "Host it!")
The page will refresh once the upload is complete (be aware that the larger the file is the longer it will take to upload"
Copy the URL or "Direct link to image" and Paste the URL or "Direct link to image" into your address bar, then Click "Go" or Press Enter (sometimes their maybe a small thumbnail of your image that you can click on directly to open your image)
You should now see your image the easiest way to add your image to one of your blog entries is to goto the blog entry that you want to add the image to or create a new blog entry (make sure you are in Edit Mode of the blog entry and not in Preview Mode)
Right Click on your image, and Click "Copy"
Then go back to your Blog Entry and Click "Paste" (you should then see your image within your blog entry)
You can then change the alignment of your image by clicking on the image in your blog once (you will see some small white squares around your image to let you know you have selected it) You can then Left justify, Center justify, Right justify or by Click and Hold on the white squares around your image while dragging the mouse you can resize your image
Enter any other text or other images that you might want within your blog entry
Publish your entry
Done!
